Dole Forbidden Fruit. Letter to Pope Francis
The Dole Sunshine Company issued an open letter to Pope Francis in La Repubblica seeking to rectify “the most catastrophic PR disaster the [apple] has ever faced: the calamity of the Original Sin.” The letter was issued on the July 1, which is International Fruit Day, to seek “absolution for the apple.” DSC is asking to redeem the reputation of fruit to celebrate it as the Original ‘Healthy’ Snack instead.
